Domestic Violence

Healing Starts with Being Heard

At Dandelions Counseling Services I understand that the effects of domestic violence reach far beyond physical harm. Emotional wounds—like fear, guilt, isolation, and low self-worth—can linger long after the abuse ends. Here, individual therapy services are designed to support survivors of domestic violence with care, respect, and safety at the center of the process.

You are not alone. Whether you're currently in an abusive situation or working to rebuild your life after leaving, I am are here to walk alongside you—at your pace, on your terms.

A Safe, Confidential Space for Healing

Survivors of abuse often carry invisible burdens: chronic anxiety, depression, flashbacks, difficulty trusting others, or feeling disconnected from themselves. I am trauma-informed and trained in working with survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence. I create a safe and supportive environment where you can begin to:

  • Reclaim your voice and sense of self

  • Work through feelings of fear, shame, or grief

  • Learn to recognize and set healthy boundaries

  • Build emotional resilience and self-compassion

  • Navigate relationships, safety planning, and next steps

I meet each client where they are—whether it’s the first time speaking about their experience, or part of a longer healing journey.

Specialized, Survivor-Centered Support

My approach centers your safety, dignity, and autonomy. I understand the complexities that come with abuse, including:

  • Emotional manipulation and gaslighting

  • Financial, legal, or immigration-related control

  • Cultural or religious barriers to leaving

  • Fear of judgment or not being believed

As your therapist, I will listen with empathy and help you regain control of your narrative.
