I believe that healing begins in a safe, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and understood. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with a background in both social work and counseling, my mission is to walk beside you in your journey toward healing, growth, and transformation.

My professional path has been shaped by both personal and clinical experiences. I hold two Master’s degrees—one in Social Work from India and another in Counseling from Houston, TX. This unique academic journey has allowed me to approach mental health from both a compassionate, person-centered perspective and a research-informed, clinical framework. It has also deepened my understanding of how culture, identity, and lived experience shape our mental and emotional wellbeing.

Over the past ten years, I have worked with individuals and families facing some of life’s most painful experiences, including domestic violence, sexual assault, complex trauma, and the challenges of adjusting to a new culture or country. My work is grounded in empathy, respect, and the belief that every person holds the capacity for healing and change.

My Clinical Training and Specializations

I am trained in a range of trauma-focused and neuroscience-informed approaches, including:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): An evidence-based method for processing traumatic experiences and reducing distressing symptoms.

  • Trauma-Informed Therapy: Creating safety, building trust, and empowering clients to reclaim control over their lives.

  • Crisis Intervention: Providing immediate support and stabilization in moments of emotional overwhelm.

  • Neurofeedback (Board Certified – BCN): Using real-time brainwave feedback to support emotional regulation, concentration, and nervous system balance.

These tools allow me to meet each client where they are, and tailor treatment to suit their individual goals, preferences, and pace.

A Personal Perspective

As a first-generation immigrant, I deeply understand the emotional, cultural, and logistical challenges of starting over in a new environment. I’ve lived the experience of navigating unfamiliar systems, balancing multiple cultural identities, and adapting while trying to stay connected to one's roots. That lived experience fuels my commitment to providing inclusive, culturally affirming care.

I grew up in India and am fluent in English, Hindi, Kannada, and Tulu. Being multilingual allows me to connect with clients across linguistic and cultural backgrounds, and offer care that honors the whole person.
